The unplanned plan

Love is, above all else, the gift of oneself.
Jean Anouilh

The week is over. My first time "teaching" vacation bible school. 4th graders..i had a choice but Husbands favorite number is 4 so you know i have to find meaning in everything. It will all make a good movie someday :).
I will not say it was easy, it was BUSY and HOT and yet it was amazing. The children were very good and i know that they could have been anywhere else but they came day after day to hear that good word. God Bless them. I hope that above all they can somehow carry that flame into adulthood, because there is much along the way that will try to snuff it out....
The house is silent, everyone but me in bed, even the dogs have abandoned post to go lay down. The only sound i hear is somebody's tv and the squeak of the hamsters wheel. Round and round it goes.
I did not plan on teaching. Yet there my hand shot up without hardly a second glance when they said they really needed more teachers.I have often wondered if that we donot plan for ends up being the plan for us.
My thoughts for a brief second drift to the far? Not so far? future...another deployment by next summer is the word from a bird, they are already in planning stages so i hear....
Ok brief second over.
So the garage story from last night. yeah its will be months in the telling the whys of all that why........ So when i was a kid i marveled at how my mother could produce a box from the garage , neatly labeled of course with whatever season it was halloween , xmas, easter, nothing was ever lost, nothing could go missing, because well it had a place, it BELONGED right where it was neatly organized....now the woman labels the container of labels with a label that reads LABELS. In case well maybe we wouldnt know that those are well..labels. Say all that 3 times real fast. Shes rarely with me much anymore, she is mostly in orbit, probably alphabetically labeling all the stars in the universe for all i know. But i digress and that heavy load is being saved for a day iv been to the gym and ate all my wheaties...........
So Mark read last nights first entry to this "new" blog and he just shook his head amused and said " you know, your kinda good at what you do" his blue eyes all sparkly as he just smiled and walked away..........he will probably never read another entry i write, well unless i tell him to :).
I love him. I love those sparkly eyes, i think they will look like that even when he is 90. I better learn to focus on something like sparkly eyes cause he is going to make a cranky old man.
He is excited about that thought, no he really is. Not me. Im never getting old, im just going to maybe sleep a little more....i think ill start now.
Goodnight all. Ill be seeing you :)

upon thee, and be gracious unto thee; The LORD lift up His
